Dude it's your money and your bike but I would advise you to put a PCIII on as fast as you can and have it dynoed.
The 07 bikes are on the verge of a melt down anyways without any help from us, you installed a new ac, now that lets the engine breath better, pulls in more air [], leaner, the air rush's out of the pipes faster that helps pull in more air, leaner and if you think I'm wrong just put it on a dyno and look at the afr numbers, I bet they are through the roof, I'm just trying to keep you from burning up your engine.
That is what he does. He puts it on a dyno andmakes surethey are okay. Believe me I will keep an eye on it. Will just be great to see if the fuel management system is not neccessary. I will have him show me as well. If it looks concerning I will do it. He seemed excited to show me it will be fine. Their website is www.thunderbirdmc.com if you want to check em out. Very highly reccommended. I appreciate all your concerns guys.
I wouldn't recommend getting a PC3 on an 07 bike. Check out my huge thread in the Fuel Injection forum. Its called "At a Loss with PC3". If you don't want to spend the money on a SERT, then I would look into the Vance and Hines Fuel Pak. Also you can get the air cleaner, pipes, and Fuel Pak from Eastern Performance for a great price. I got my BSS for less than $500 with free shipping. If you get the SERT, I would buy it from Zanotti. They have the best price which is only around $70 bucks or so more than a PC3.
For a $20,000 investment, what is a couple hundred extra for doing it correctly? People will say you don't have to have this or that. But why cut corners on a major investment?
Dude -According to Thunderbirds website, they have been in business since 2000. That's 7 yrs. not 30.
The one guy has been a "local business owner" for 30yrs. But not this motorsickle shop.
Hope everything works out for ya though. Keep us posted on the outcome.
Look, the dyno guy at the Harley shop near my house dynoed one with only a muffler change and the AFR numbers went all the way to 18.1, he shut down the dyno and told the guy to put back on the stock mufflers before he burns down his engine, there have been to many threads on this just to ignore, and as for the PCIII it will be just fine, that same dealership put's them everyday with no problems, I've got one and my freind has one on a 07 bike, runs great.
