Wrong
He rides an 07 Fatboy. You need some tools to install. It also takes a lot longer than 10 mintues to install it. Especially if its the first time you have done it.
I have the same bike and have already been down the PC3 on an 07 Fatboy road. If you think turning the engine over numerous times before starting and stuttering throttle is "runs great!" then by all means buy one.
drrandall1 I have been looking at new pipes and was told by the service manager at the dealership closest to me that I could put on 2" rush slipons and the se a/c with no change to the fuel management system. He said he has dynoed more than enough bikes with those add ons and they ran right on the line theywould not run to lean or rich. I talked to the service manager at the dealership on the other side of town and he said that was crazy that it would run lean and could damage my motor and offered to put the parts on and do the download from harley and it would be fine. I wanted to beleive that I could put the new pipes and air cleaner on and do nothing and it would be fine and I would have at the least6 more horse power and a kick *** sounding bike but the more I thought about I knew I did not want the download and was leary of putting on the parts and not getting a tuner so I went with the 1 3/4" rush pipes and no se a/c and hope it does not run to lean. Down the road I am going to purchase the sert and get a dyno tune. That way I will know it is set right(if the guy running the dyno knows what the hell he is doing). Just thought you might like to know that the one service manager said I did not neet a tuner for the pipes and se a/c additions.
Good luck
surveyer...You are talking about slip ons though. A buddy of mine tunes cars. He said have it hooked up to a dyno. If it is 15.0 or under I am fine. If more get the fuel management system.
Okay, okay, okay! Fiest of all I want to thank you all for your help and advice. I am going with your reccommendations and getting a fuel system The Vance and Hines Fuel Pak. I called Vance & Hines and they said they highly reccommend it. I just sold my SE Slip ons for the same price the Fuel Pak would cost anyway. Thanks for the info on the PCIII. Not doing that for sure. Thanks again guys for putting up with all my dumb questions!
