Went to Harley today and had to order the hose. Figures something that fails they wouldn't have in stock. They carry the gasket so I'll replace both seeing if I try to pull out the hose the other end will break off inside the tranny. As always, Thanks for all the input

might have been some poor material that year? My '09 FXDC dry rotted, too.

The hose should fit on a barb on the outside of the transmission top cover... you shouldn't have to pull it off. I can't see a 5 speed evo being any different from a 6 speed twinkie trans in that aspect.

You would be wrong on how the hose is attached to his bike.

You would think they would be the same, but for some reason Harley Davidson designed in a couple of different vent hose attachments on their covers.
