Busted my *** on a diving board about 45 years ago. Yep, showing off but to young to drink.
x2 on cutting customizing the seat with a depression so there is little or no pressure on the tailbone. I had the sundowner on my Sporty and set it up to lean forward some instead of sitting upright.
Doctors appt on Wednesday and he showed me the x-ray. 45degree fracture all the way through. Nothing to do about it (of course) and said to stay off the motorcycle until we "Prove" it's healed by an x-ray. Scheduled one for 4 weeks from now.... Now I stare at my bike and the beautiful 70 degree weather we are having and dream! ...
I fell on my *** hard years ago, won't say how but I ended fracturing mine. Out of all I late broke over the years that was the worst. Hurt for months. It hurt like hell to sit. Worst thing is Idrive for a living and driving really sucked for a few weeks
I fell deer hunting about 25 years ago.
Landed on a small tree stump with tailbone.
They said I did not break mine.
All the doctor would do is offer pain killers and
muscle relaxers.
I am not a big chiropractor user, but I would
suggest you go see one.
In my case, my wifes regular chriopractor
made a MAJOR difference.
It was at least 6 months of recovery time even with the
chiropractors visits
Ice hockey on a frozen pond many years ago in my case... A good check by a fellow truant (we skipped school to play hockey all the time) landed me on my tail bone. Had to go to school and sit on those hard plastic chairs for weeks. The only good news was that - since it was winter - I didn't miss any riding.
By the way, I last slalomed my skateboard (vintage 1975) down the hill next to our house about 10 years ago. After speed wobbles that led to an underwear change I put it back in the basement where it belongs. My version of preventative medicine. My teenage sons thought it was hilarious...
Well, 75 degrees outside and I snuck away for a 45 min ride. Doesn't hurt when I'm riding, but when I stood up to get off the bike I was reminded big time that I'm still hurt. It'll be 3 weeks tomorrow since I fractured it.....and I'm glad I was able to ride, I'm healing, and yeah, my wife nagged me about trying too soon, and yeah, I know she's right, and yeah, I'll probably do it again :-)
Late 60's, did the same thing. Skateboards were pretty primitive back then. Ended up having some nerves cut to get rid of the pain. Haven't missed them a bit.
