Not me not ever on any product. They are not warranties they are service contracts.

I have purchased 16 HD's since 2009 and had I bought the service contract I would have to eliminate one bike. Also none of the bikes have ever needed one thing past the recalls and warranty which was only a few items. It would have been a total wasted of money.

Some will crow about the money that they saved. It will be the same that go to a Casino and come out a winner. The Casino system and the service contracts are set up the same way. They always win that is why they are in business.

I asked last week when I bought my Limited Low if going stage 1 would void the warranty. The reply was that the dealer would never turn me in, bit if there was a major claim & Harley sent a rep to check it out, they would know and it would void the warranty.
20 minutes later the same guy tried to sell me an extended warranty, I asked him what would be the point?

My wife got talked into one on a truck she purchased. I couldn't wait for something to go wrong with it so I didn't feel like it was a total waste of money. Funny thing is that was the only vehicle we ever bought one on and it paid off.

That's funny my trucks 10 years old and I still spam mail about buying extended warranties for it.

Bought a used car for wife years ago through dealer.
Car was 10 years old with super low mileage.
Old couple originally owned car and never drove it.
Before purchasing I thoroughly inspected the gaskets and came upon the conclusion it was going to need a few of them replaced.
Purchased extended service plan and glad I did as the dealer ended up having to replace just about every gasket on the motor and a few other things as well.
They lost their asses off on that contract.
On new vehicles or stuff, waste of your money.

I likely wouldn't buy one for a new bike, but I bought my bike used with over 25K miles on it...$1300 for a two-year warranty seemed like a good idea. Haven't needed it so far, and I hope it proves unnecessary, but it gives me some additional peace of mind.

An extended warranty is just an insurance policy.

I have insurance policies on my cars, my health and my life.
Do I hope that I'll ever need those policies? Of course not.

When I bought my used 2009 Heritage I bought a 2 year insurance policy (extended warranty).
Just like my other insurance policies I didn't need it so was it a waste of money?
Not to me.

I have bought them on the 4 used cars, used them all and more than paid for the service that was done. One of the cars had 2 transmissions and a top end rebuilt, the other truck was a new transmission, new AC, new power steering pump, and new something to with the steering control arms, all of them I got more than I paid for the warranty.

I bought a brand new Kawasaki, paid for new radiator, clutch seal, transmission problem and when when it came time to renew the motor quite 60 days later. Now I have a bike that I will have to part out.

I ride about 20,000 a year, so when I bought my 12 after looking at the problems that they sometimes have, for the money I thought it was a good deal.

I travel all over Alabama and try to go on 1-2 road trips, the extended warranty gives me piece of mind that if I should break down call the 800 number and the bike is towed, repaired and I get a rental to get me home.

Warranties are like insurance, I have other insurance also. I see the extended warranty the same way.

I hope I never need it, but given the miles I ride good chance I will. I think that is the defining part. Do you like to mod your bike (I Don't) do you ride pretty close to home, do you not put many miles on a year if you answer yes to these then maybe a warranty isn't best for you.

I bought one when I recently purchased my used 2014 Ultra Classic. It's piece of mind in the event something does happen. Hopefully I won't need it, but it's there if I do.
