sure would
be nice to know of sold them to you and who made them. WTF now you want help but wont inform us about a poor product. I hate to say this but screw you.
Is there a warranty on the bars? What does it say? How can they know you installed them wrong? Do they have documentation/proof of their strength tests on the bars? (Ie, running fork lifts over them?) Have you disputed the charge with your credit card company?
So, the company has done an about face. Now I'm being accused of installation wrong. They said "we have run forklifts over our bikes and nothing has happened ". Send in the bars and they will check that it is not counterfeit, and then either reimburse me or send new ones. I'm getting 12.5 HD apes. Will sell the replacement bars when I get them
And it is Wild 1s. Just accept you had a faulty product
Too bad about the change in plan. Many sport oriented companies that I work with used to have an automatic replacement program but eventually learned that they had to get people to send back the defective item before sending a new one when dealing with individuals vs. dealers. Most that I deal with now do something similar as to what Wild 1's is doing but in a more "polite" way. sucks when they get accusatory vs. simply being empathetic to your down time, and taking care of the problem whether they share responsibility or not.

Well, I was not going to name the company until it was resolved. That is what grown ups do instead of going off half cocked.
The crack is there, a mechanic and the manager of the company both agreed there was. Maybe you guys need glasses?
They want me to send them up so they can check the serial number and make sure they are not fake. According to the lady I spoke to". We run forklifts over our bars and nothing happens".
The company is Wild 1s. Does that make you feel better loser?
Counterfeit handlebars? Serial numbers? You guys are way more fancy than I. I think I'd be very polite with them and hope for the best. You get more bees with honey, they say. They're not going to pay for installation. That's a standard warranty clause on anything. If they screw you, tell everyone you know. Nobody wants to buy from a company with a bad reputation. Weld up the bars and keep 'em around as a flat black spare.
I doubt they have run a forklift over their bars without damaging them. However, incorrect installation could lead to a cracked bar. So they have a point in wanting to inspect the bars. Also there are sellers claiming to sell Wild 1 bars and they are not. I bought some on ebay from a cycle shop that were stated to be Wild 1s and they were not so I returned them for a refund.
