The us military runs kawasaki klr 650's with I believe a yanmar diesel refitted to it!! They wanted all thier vehicle runningthe same fuel. With a 6 gallon tank I bet those bikes have some pretty good range!!

I think the bike is good looking in it's own way, except on paper. That's just EXPENSIVE.
I could buy a used pasta rocket for that.

I think all the alternative types are interesting. But the one I'd like to have for a day is Jay Leno's 100% pure turbine powered bike. The sound (for a turbine, that is) is awesome!

Could be a pain with the diesel, diesel is notsold at all stations like gas in this country. With my truck i've had to search here and there when away from home and not on the highway. I now make it a habit to fuel up on the highway before i pull into my destination city so i don't have to go searching.
