Have an old pair of Wiley Xs believe Xls or xl1 not sure with the old blue lunar lenses permanent attached foam, had to retire them when I went to a pair of prescription sunglasses which are a rayban
The Wiley Xs were great and I still use them as a back up and with clear lenses for night time
Bobster Raptors. Interchangeable lenses, foam inserts, and well contoured... I've never had a problem with wind under any circumstances. I've been using them for about 7 years. I found them cheaper on Amazon.
Just ride in Oakleys. Have 3 pairs for the last 12 years. I have one smaller pair (blades) for keeping the tanlines down, a bigger pair with polarized lenses that does the best job of blocking wind and catching road sand, and one more pair of larger shares.
The good. Nice price points between 150-250. They are comfortable and the frames last. The lenses have been okay and do not love high amounts of sweat, salt water, etc to stay on the lens.
Aerodynamics are the most important feature to me. Any glasses that have a frame and lens that are separate are not aerodynamic at high speed. The best glasses are those that are molded from 1 piece of plastic. I don't know the name of them off hand, but Competition Cycle in Davie has them in clear and tint. I have one of each and can ride 100MPH with them no problem.
I got the Wiley X (purchased at my local HD dealer for $149 They have the transition lenses. As was mentioned they do not get real dark during the day. Having said that, they get dark enough to take any glare muted, and are a good shade to see clearly without giving up comfort. Mine came with two sets of straps. One , is just for hang around the neck when not using. The other, is elasitic and is designed to fit into holes in the side of the frame and pulls the glasses to the snugness that I like. Enough air in to let the eyeballs breathe, but cuts down wind shear to the brain.
Ive been looking for the ultimate set of sunglasses for riding for years.
Currently have the Oakley wind jackets. Super expensive (I paid $300), and I cant say they are all that great as the seal doesn't fit flush against my face.....But I'm going to keep wearing them anyway until I feel I got my money out of them.
