I don't have my service manual nearby, but I seem to recall it specifying red lock tite on these screws.
Well, I pulled out my service manual for my 2010 Street Glide, and it says to use Blue loctite, and torque to 36-60 inch pounds. Personally, I think that any loctite for these screws is overkill. Every time I've serviced the air cleaner, not a single screw has ever been even slightly loose. YMMV.
I can understand stripping one. But why go on and kill the other two?
Y'all need to develop the feel of a fastener that's about to strip, then you can break out the heat gun before you murder the heads of those poor bolts. That's the thing an experienced guy can feel w/o the pain of stripping stuff.
rather than a heat gun that will heat up everything around the fasteners you might be better off with a soldering iron or soldering gun to better focus the heat only where you need it.
