I have just recently bought a Harley Dyna Wide glide FXDWG 1995 model.
The only issue there is with it is that the speedo is showing roughly 15 mph faster than i am actually going. I know it has had a new speedometer clock fitted (7000 miles ago), could it be possible that the clock is the wrong ratio to the actual speed sensor?
Any help would be much appreciated, the amount of cameras on the roads in England, its worth having a speedo with an accurate reading.
If it has the digital speedo, you may need to clean off the sensor at the trans. They sometimes get metalic "fuzz" on them that gives you screwy readings. If it still has a cable setup, all I can say is mine acted up just before the cable broke. You can try to lube the cable if you have one.,,
not sure on a 95 if the speedometer is electric or mechanical , if mechanical just need to get the new gear for the end of the cable , if electronic, you will need a programmer to correct it I believe. Some indys have them and sure the dealer could adjust it but it may take a add on box , agaon not sure, I think it Dakota Digital sell a speedometer programmer module that stays on the bike.
