anyone using the new zumo 550? pros/cons? broke my street pilot 2720 and garmin wants $300.00 for repair! should i repair or replace? this is my dilemma any thoughts or comments apreciated!!!!! thanx
I don't have the Zumo 550, but I have the new Zumo 450 and love it. The only problem with the Zumo 450 is it only comes with a motorcycle mount. You have to spend another $100.00- $125.00 to get an automobile mount and power cord. Other than that it's a great unit. Check out www.gpscity.com for the best price.

Just received the Zumo 550 two weeks ago. Very easy to learn. State of the art. Used the cigarette lighter install option that is mentioned on the Zumo Forum. Check out that forum "http://www.zumoforums.com/zumo/" if you want to learn a lot about this unit. I spent several days on it before I ordered mine.
Motorcycle Consumer News, which is a very objective evaluation mag, just evaluated this unit--rated it the best gps unit for a motorcycle.
I already have a Quest--it will now become my backupunit, orone for the wife to use.
On the other hand, there are great deals to be had on the 2730 model, which includes XM capability (the antenna/receiver costs quite a bit extra on the Zumo), but doesn't have Bluetooth. For my money, the 2730 for around $400 is the best deal out there now. A factory refurbished model with a full warranty can be had here for $384.
thanx for the input i have bought from gps city before they are good to deal with. i am going to ck out the zumo forum for a bit and do a little more research.
