can I get some advice on new fat boy purchase? I am looking for a 2015 fat boy. There are three dealers close by, and none will budge off msrp. I am getting new pipes, tuner, and stage 1. What is a reasonable thing to ask for in some kind of discount? I get the bs that parts, service, and sales are different departments and don't work together.
There are plenty of dealers that will come off of MSRP, but not much.
Personally I'd look for a used Fatboy with very low miles at a HUGE discount. You and the seller can walk into any HD dealer to get it financed - HD advertises it.
When I got my fatbob last year I got $1000 off the Msrp and the freight and set up taken off. They took the freight and setup off easily but it took some grinding to get them to take the $1000 off.
You can go in and kick their ***
Go somewhere else and buy a Honda
Or stop whining and pay the bill.
It would be nice, but I don't think they owe you anything and evidently neither do they.
Remember also that if your looking to purchase something that is a "hot ticket" item , the dealers know that if you don't but it at full price, someone else will. If you want to hammer out a deal you would be better off buying a 2014 or used bike. Spring is starting up, 2015 model bike are at their most desirable right now. Worst possible time to buy one.
