Owner says this bike has factory exhaust and no engine work. Not sure what would cause this discoloration. I haven't set up an appointment to see it yet. Wanted to hear what you guys had to say.
Heat. Pipes get that way there just covered up with the chrome covers. Is there supposed to be a cover on that part of the exhaust and it's just missing?
I'm from Richmond. (Madison Co) but in the Air Force. Stationed in Wichita. Bengals fan here. My family hates all things TN even tho my dad works in Nasville. Haha
Yeah, that's a straight pipe with no shielding. And butted up against the CAT, I'm not surprised it looks like that. Bike looks clean though. I'd just ditch those slip-ons and put the stock back on until you figure out what you want, if you buy it. That's also not a lot of miles for a 2010. I had 37k on my 2011 when I traded it in. Hell, I've got 13k on my '14 and it's not even a year old yet. If those tires are original, and they look like it, check them carefully before riding it.

nah, that's definitely discoloration on that picture. like someone else already mentioned, there are 2 different exhausts being shown in the ad. one is stock, the other, which shows all the discoloration, appears to be a straight pipe setup.

I have friend that put a cheap pair of pipes on a King like that. They did the same thing.
