Hey got a question. I installed the new 16" bars put on new stainless cables. Put new brake pads on and a new tire on the front wheel...now.. no brake pedal unless I pump it up.. then I have a good pedal until I move a few feet then loose the pedal.. started looking around and both front rotors are bent in the same spot on both rotors. The guy who put the wheel on the bike put it on so it was rolling the wrong direction.. so I switched it the correct way and still the same problem. I see I am going to have to replace the rotors now.. so 2 questions.. putting the wheel on wrong could that cause the rotors to get bent... next.. could having the spacers on wrong cause the rotors to appear to be bent. Thanks for the help
Put new stainless braided lines on.. gravity bleed it and speedy bleeder as well.. just fluid coming out.. pump up fine with a few squeezes of the brake lever but as soon as I move I loose all pressure.
that is what I am trying to figure out.. they are both bent at the exact same spot.. I pulled the calipers off and spun the wheel and can see they are bent but is it the rotors or something else not spinning true.

Well that is because the bent rotors push the pads back into the calipers, and it takes a pump or two to push them back out.
Did he pull the rotors off when he changed the tire?
I mounted the tire myself on a rim clamp machine from the outside of the wheel.. I did not remove the rotors but was very careful not to catch the rotor.. maybe I did but not sure how.

Well if the tire, rim was put on backward and the spacers were wrong and the rotors did not line up and if the axle was tightened up pulling on the rotors, both bent in the same place.
Does that sound like what happened?.
