It is VERY slow for me! This is the only website that I have problems with. I had to go in and turn off all the pics, avatars etc.. just to get most of the threads to even download! I went into "My Profile" and went down to "Speed Options" and turned off everything.

I agree with the large signature picture issue. It must be a killer for those with slow connections.
I have RR and I do find it, and some other forum sites, load slowly sometimes. I attributed it to the various pop-up blockers and security programs I run, but I really don't know what causes it.
I have a lightening fast internet connection....the fastest offered in the USA. This is the absolute slowest site I have in my Favorites menu....Why?
May I ask what you have if it's the fastest? Just curious
Also... doesn't matter how fast you can download if the server your receiving from can't upload that fast or has too much traffic on it. I don't know what kind of machine hdforums is on or what kind of pipe it's using but I would be it's being shared. the more people on the pipe, the slower you're gonna get
I'm running a 1.1meg Broadband link through a 54mps wireless router and its quite fast for me, however the US is usually still in bed or at work when I use the site so there may be something in it about the amount of users slowing it down !
I ride a bolt of lightening everywhere I go. I have a striking personality and a temper that thunders....aw ****....just take my word for it, it's fast. I'm not a geek but every other site I go to is MUCH faster.

It would help if people would make their image signatures smaller.
mikeisglidin: Those are WAY to big.

Sorry to wake this thread up again, but last night I was trying to check something on the forum and the large signature photos took forever to load. Even when I'm at work on a T-1 connection, they take several minutes to load sometimes. Also, if you are using a laptop with low resolution (mine is set at 800x600) you have to scroll left to right to read the posts. This can be very annoying. How about using thumbnails in signatures. If someone wants to look at the large photo, they can just click the thumbnail.
Don't mean to offend anyone. Just MHO.
