OK, I have been riding for years but this is only my second Harley so i am still learning the way of the true faith (British and Metrics before Harley, hey give me a break they're expensive in Europe).
Anyway, my wife has said she wants to give it a try so I am looking for used bikes for her.
Guy at work is offering a 2004 XL883C with about 2K miles, stage 1 (well, half I guess, A/C, pipes and carb kit) and asking $6300. That's a lot of green to drop in case she doesn't really like being in control.
KBB lists $3915 Trade in and $5850 Retail but I see online retailers selling them for over $7K.
Haven't looked at it yet but the guy says its in good shape. Don't think he's much of a Harley freak like me and my buddies because he didn't know the exact mileage or the make of pipes (without looking).
I'd offer 5000-5500? Seems to be a good area. There are plenty of people asking 7K, but that is why they are still for sale!! The market is way too flooded right now. Good luck!
