I could see it being dangerous if you have your I-Pod hooked up and you are trying to change songs with gloves on. Those little buttons on the MP3 players can be tricky.
I dont really want to use the comparison of being able to walk and chew gum but it seems to fit. Simply listening to music is a lot less distracting than talking on a cell phone even with a hands free setup.
A cell phone and a two way communication system that can be included on a motorcycle are of the same ilk and should be considered dangerous to use as far as I'm concerned.
i know some of harleys touring models come stock with a sound system (radio) and ive been told thats dangerous ofr a bike cause it can cause the rider to lose concentration and crash. is it really true that harley is endangering some of there customers? or is that just an exageration?

Why would it be any more or less worse than driving a car? To some level it possibly could be enough of a distraction, but if it's that distracting to a person on a bike, I dread ever being around that same person when they are driving!
