I could see it being dangerous if you have your I-Pod hooked up and you are trying to change songs with gloves on. Those little buttons on the MP3 players can be tricky.

I dont really want to use the comparison of being able to walk and chew gum but it seems to fit. Simply listening to music is a lot less distracting than talking on a cell phone even with a hands free setup.
A cell phone and a two way communication system that can be included on a motorcycle are of the same ilk and should be considered dangerous to use as far as I'm concerned.

Is it equally dangerous to have a radio in your car?

Yes, they are very dangerous.

I was cruisin down a nice little two lane road listening to my tunes and a great ZZ Top song came on and I really got into it.

Without thinking I got up on the seat and started dancing!!!

Dang wind nearly knocked me off the bike!!!

Gonna order a taller windshield so that doesn't happen again!!!

Why would it be any more or less worse than driving a car? To some level it possibly could be enough of a distraction, but if it's that distracting to a person on a bike, I dread ever being around that same person when they are driving!

Hey dragonfiregirl, why don't you have any information in your profile? Location, etc? We don't need to know the exact lat/long, but a city or state would be nice to know, ya dig?

No, but you don't engage in a two way conversation with your radio and possible have heated discussions with it. At least most of us don't
