Buy my BO, it's a ember red sunglo 13 with 2400 miles on it. I'll let it go for $15k firm.
This weekend I had a close call that scared the hell out of me. I'm thinking about getting off a scoot all together. Might just be in shock but if I do end up staying on a scoot I would like to go to a deluxe.
I've owned 2 Touring models, including a RK, but they just didn't click with me. Guess I'm just a Softail guy, too as I've owned more of them over the years than any other family of Harleys. I like the Softail looks and sitting low. But, I'll be honest with you, I think the newer Touring models handle better in the twisties than a Softail. IMO, except for the Road King, I don't think the Touring models have the style, the looks, the character, or the blood lines of the Softail line, but they handle better overall and are a lot better suited for 2 up riding. They're also better for going on long rides, but once again, just my opinion, most of todays riders don't take very long rides. Keep shopping, you'll find a BO deal somewhere.

I agree.. Similar to how i feel. My RoadKing handles the twisties just fine but still not the same way as a smaller lower lighter bike does.. I dont know maybe i just love sitting down low.. I do know i love the style of a Softail better.
Ya, Springers are sweet.. I always wished the Bad boy has a wider back tire tho..
Hah...odd that you mention that, soon as I posted this I hit up eBay, and found a handful. One of 'em with a 180 rear tire.
Really thinking I want to get one in a couple of years, when my Shovel project is about done.
My wifes Uncle has a Softy Springer in his barn, recluse guy up in the mountains of New Hampshire....her family use to run a local MC down here before they all headed out in different directions. Think it was his last bike before he went hermit up in the mountains. Every now 'n then I keep dreaming it's a BadBoy and he'll sell it to me cheap.
...cuz they're commanding high prices on the market...being 1700something made.

A 180 rear would be perfect on that bike.. They are limited so if you could land one for a good price i say go for it..
Put some old school stuff like a highback chopper sissy bar on it, chopper king/queen style seat, old style salami pipes, floppy leather saddle bags.....yup..that's my goal.
