Don't remove the rear shocks at the same time. The bike will fall forward off the jack. I caught the bike just in time before it went over. I forgot I took off the left side, I had a towel over my fender and when I took the right one off the wheel went down and the rest of the bike went up and almost off the other side of the jack. I grabbed the fender strut just in time. I strap the bike down now all the time. I want no more surprises. Just because the jack is stable doesn't mean the bike can't fall off. Bike is a Dyna.

Ok, that's pretty damn funny and I do understand where it comes from. I've used and owned the following. 3 Pit Bull jacks, craftsman yellow aluminum, torin/sam's club thing and a Harbor Freight. I did settle on the J&S.

Replaced my J&S with a Pitbull jack and never looked back.

The work platform is something I copied from some one else.

Maybe no straps, but I sure as hell put something under the wheel that's on the bike when I take a wheel off the other end. Unnecessary risk if it gets bumped, or whatever....(And yeah, I own a J&S too.)

Guess again, Jim Jones. I've been using my HF jack with no problem for several years and have enjoyed all the pizzas I bought with the money I didn't waste on the higher-priced jack.

Now that's funny. I've used HF and J&S. THB they were about the same in stability. Not in cost. Your money do as you want.

I just ordered a J&S jack, but I opted for the free T-Bar handle instead of the oil drain shield. Ordered a wheel chock too. Can't wait for my new toys to get here.

Tufel, you'd best watch the video below and rethink that opinion before you mislead someone. The HF jack was so unstable that the testers wouldn't even try to move it around when the bike is elevated. (Fast forward to 8:00 and watch the HF rock! (back and forth and back and forth.)
