She did it!
Feel free to say that those who have been close to bikes are more likely to do well (cause no s[sm=smiley35.gif]t, but it is no different between women and men. Just get over it.... when it comes to riding, we're all pretty much equal (sex-wise.)VERY few things in life are easier/better for one sex than the other. The only CLEAR CUT thing I can think of is giving birth! Just deal w/ it, that's life.
Have you guys gone to the Gloria Steinem school of BRAINWASH? Ya'll are sooo hen-pecked that you can't even see blatant truths. Ya don't dare say anything that isn't politically correct or the little lady'd cut you off, literally. lol....
Women are very good at many things that men suck at. I'm not making a value judgment . I am not saying that physical things are more important than other life skills . I am simply stating that, GENERALLY SPEAKING, boys/men have an affinity for motorized gizmos which give them an advantage riding on big motorcycles and it's a mistake to put a woman on a big bike to mix it up in traffic, who drops it four times in one training session.
Hey Jarckarse.... I have a 22 yr. old sister that I GAURANTEE can whoop your **** (and mine) at ANY of those activities you listed above, INCLUDING football, so does that mean that women are better? That has VERY LITTLE to do w/ the fact that they are women! That has EVERYTHING to do w/ size. There are professional women boxers, but of course men can get bigger.
ALL you are saying is that you think you have to be "bigger" to be able to handle a big bike, and I got news for ya, I know some VERY petite women that could kick your **** at riding, or any other activity you want to name. I am more than willing to admit that, and if you ain't, then you're a pig.
And as far as pool (this one I laughed my *** off at) does the name Allison Fisher mean anything to you??? She'll run w/ any man you want to line up, and I have PERSONALLY watched Janette Lee (in Ft. Wayne, IN) take guys for $500 a rack ALL NIGHT LONG w/o losing a single game.
You're "theory" is complete BS and comes down to you being scared to admit they are equal because you are most likely inferior in allot of ways. The ONLY thing that women tend to run a tad shy on is size, and they more than make up for that in heart, determination, and thought.
Go give this speech to your momma and lets hear what she has to say.
First off, it wasn't dropped 4 times in one training session. It was over the course of the training that she had BEFORE she ever thought about riding on the road. Like I said earlier, there was a problem with the way the clutch/gas skill was taught by MSF vs what is needed on the Sportster. We identified and rectified that problem. I posted about it so others would have the benefit of that experience since the MSF course is so popular around here.
Secondly, I would NEVER, EVER, put my wife in a position of danger. Nor would she. I don't know the type of women you associate with, but my wife isn't some helpless, mindless creature, nor does she have a death wish. She decided this is what she wanted to do. She took the initiative to get her permit and take the MSF course. She took the time to learn to properly ride this bike BEFORE she took it out on the road. Once she had the requisite skills, she performed as well or better than any new rider I have ever seen.
I don't know you. I don't know how old you are or anything about your background. But you are starting to come off as an insulting fool. I hope that's not your intent, because no one here behaves that way.
Admin: If you want to delete this thread, please do so. This isn't why I posted the story.
Those are all EXCEPTIONS to the rule.
Please don't make me say that again....
So when is it not an exception to the rule? Every day I ride to work, and I see probably 10 guys on bikes, and 3 women... so 20-25% of riders is still a "exception"? You're just trying convince yourself that you're superior and you're digging an even bigger hole w/ every word you say.
People, regardless of your opinions and how stupid you think another opinions are, namecalling and flaming aren't tolerated on this board. You may disagree and debate all you want as long as it's kept respectful and intelligent. Resorting to namecalling usually means that intelligence has left the conversations. If a topic upsets you too much, stay away from it. As for this thread...
