Default Eye protection

I recently acquired a pair of prescription glasses. I have over half dozen pair of riding glasses from Bobster to Wiley-X and a few in between.
Now that I am wearing glasses, I need to re-think how I plan on wearing sun protection for during the day, as well as eye protection for night riding. For now I can keep my prescription glasses in my fork bag until I get where I need to be and then put the glasses back on. The more I do wear the prescription glasses, the more my eyes are becoming accustomed to them and sooner or later I will need to have them on all the time. I am not the biggest fan of helmet shields as I love to have the feeling of the wind hitting me while riding. I wear a shorty helmet for warm weather and do wear a 3/4 helmet with flip shield for the cold months and rainy days.
Can anyone recommend a particular pair of over the glasses goggles or something that just might work better for me? I have a pair of clip on sunglasses for the prescription glasses but they cause my glasses to slide down my nose due to the extra weight of the clips and spring loaded frames.
If it does come down to a snap on helmet shield, what would be a good one?
I can really use the help of those who have gone through this before.
Just so you know, I can't afford to buy biker prescription glasses now because I already paid too much for the ones on my face now, and was told good chance I will change glasses after two years again.

Hmm...so you need prescription glasses sometimes? Maybe you should wear them all the time then. Immediately. Riding/Driving with defective eyesight is pretty damn dangerous and not just for you.

Just get some goggles that will fit over the glasses or a full face lid that works with them.

Get a pair of prescription sunglasses or transition lenses.

Goggles are a constant frustration of fog and distortion.

I bought a pair of Wiley-X glasses with transitions lenses. I wear them every time I ride, and never worry about day/night visibility, face shields, windshields, or "where the hell are my glasses?".

Contacts. Wear any kind of sunglasses or goggles you want.
Been working great for me.

The glasses are for watching TV, reading and working on computer and just making everything sharp again. My vision is not blurred, nor do I have to have them for driving. I just don't want to keep removing the glasses when I ride.
If my eyes were dependent on corrective lenses, there would be no question of wearing them every waking moment.

Not sure I could ever get used to contacts. The idea of something stuck to my eyeballs bother me.

I'm assuming you don't wear glasses.

I wear glasses, but can pass the eye test of the state dmv, so I don't have to wear them for driving. I can ride just fine with or without my glasses. Prefer to ride with.

To answer the OP - I do a combination of things. I have a half helmet with a sun visor. Works fine on sunny days. I keep my Wylie non-prescription clear goggles in the bag, just in case. I also wear "over" googles I picked up for $29 at the dealer. Works fine with he 1/2 helmet.

I also have a 3/4 helmet with a pull down face shield and separate sun visor. I wear that if the weather is iffy or I am just tired of swapping glasses/goggles.

I think the best option, for me, is to get prescription lenses for my Wylie SG-1s and use them with my 1/2 helmet, sun-visor combo. I'd recommend that to you as well.

I don't need to wear my glasses but like you, prefer to. I am asking for advise on what type would be best for goggles to fit over the glasses and still give me protection or, what it just be easier to get a couple short shields for my shorty helmet?

Hmmm... well, I used to need to wear glasses, but about 10 years ago I got my eyes lasered with what was the best tech at the time.

It was a game changer for me I couldn't believe quite how bad (and dangerous) my eyesight had been before.

I get that it doesn't fix all problems, but if you are riding with bad eyesight, then you ARE part of the problem. No excuses.

But to answer your question...why not just go and try some goggles on and see which ones fit the best?
