Default Bug Bukake

How often does one need to clean bugs off their bike for concern of the paint being negatively effected? I am on my first road trip, and it seems like an uphill battle. Thanks.

I've exceeded a month before I got to cleaning with no ill effects on a black bike. Keep a good coat of wax on it and you'll be fine.

I have yet to wash my bike this year.

That is if riding in the rain does not count as washing it.

Yep, rain is washing in my book. Got most of the bugs off after yesterdays rainy ride. Rain softens them up just fine.

Bugs like this?

I clean my bike either before or after each ride because of the bugs...usually before, since I'm not tired then.

How often? For me it's when I get tired enough of looking at the bug wallpaper to do something about it. That is one nice thing about early spring and fall riding- all the bugs are gone.
