Take a look at the video, you can see the car is looking at you in his mirror several times, your distance keeps falling from the pickup in front of you, the car obviously needs to move to the left lane and your dropping back, he waited for you to accelerate and go but you just keep falling back, he puts on his blinker and goes, he even accelerates out of your way. Car did nothing wrong. If I was in that same situation, I'd have pulled up in front of the car and grabbed his lane in front of him probably about 3 or 4 seconds before he placed his blinker on. I think you should seriously think about taking a riders course and start practicing your intuition skills which will improve over time. That's just my opinion but it's your life....

Most of us would agree with this. In fact, when I see someone give a turn signal, I am so surprised/impressed that I usually back off and let them in.

This post is spot on. I originally thought he was in the blind spot, but your analysis is better.

This is why I prefer to ride "in a bubble". If traffic is too heavy for that, I like to ride 5 mph faster than traffic, so you pass through their blind spot quickly.

Good point. I would also add that your bubble is going to be infringed on over and over. You will need to adjust your speed, lane position, etc. to maintain your bubble. This and other videos would be great for classes. "What could the rider have done different" kind of thing. Did the driver infringe on your bubble...? Sure. You didn't even have to make any sort of panic stop though. It did appear you sped up actually, but I could be wrong.

That's 30 seconds of my life I will never get back. Hell you were in the wrong, even if you had been in the right dead right is still dead.

Learn to ride.
