Drivers should turn their damn heads to check out their blind spots before moving into them! They know they're there, so should look!
Woulda, coulda, shoulda... drivers 'should' do a great many things but I'm not going to count on the fact they will and I'm not going to go through life depending on the kindness and competence of other drivers and what they should do and I ride accordingly: they don't see me and they don't care even if they do, I need to always be improving and refining my riding technique and be the master of my fate; anything less is my butt on the line...
