2. My view was unable to see the car putting the signal light plus he was really close. He put the signal light and change. His right corner was out of my side view
3. The distortion of the lens will make look like he had the space, he didnt!

Yes every day we get people like this, yes we have to handle it! Thanks everyone!
1) You are able to swivel your head left and right.

2) You didn't see the car's signal because you weren't paying attention to your surroundings.

3) If there was no space between you and the car that cut you off, you would have been hit.

I agree, the freeway system around DFW is the most dangerous I have ridden.

I have been riding for 45 years. I rarely have a close call. 'Nuff said.

To the OP. In a moment of weakness, I might agree with your argument about camera angle. I think if you mount the camera on the bike closer to car or bumper level, the perspective might change to show a closer call. In any way it might be a better location to show bike to obstruction distances. Hey live and learn.

I would like to thank everyone for the most entertaining and educational thread. My favorite post was from a fellow Texan "I've been riding for 45 years and rarely have a close call..." Just lucky I'm sure :-).

Op thanks for posting and realizing you can do better. That's a good 1st step to improving. Definitely keep the camera going.

Did you see the footage of the rider who told off a texter in a BMW in Cali? The Beemer driver hit him, knocked him down and never stopped. Luckily his helmet cam caught it.
