Default Guys with 2bikes question

Is it a waste to have 2? My glide is setup for 2hr trips and I love the raw ness bout riding it. Lowerd, rake, drag bars, loud etc. but lately I'm thinkin a streetglide would also fit my style, and enable me to venture farther from home. I can't trade or sell my glide without losing my ***, so I would keep it. im really afraid my wideglide won't get rode much after the SG. Other hand it would be nice to pick the mood of the ride before leaving the garage by which bike got choose. do a lot of guys have more than one bike? The positive about the SG is my wife can ride with, while the positive about the wideglide is my wife can't go! Lol.

Default 2 Bikes

I'm kind of in the same boat with you, in that I can't get near what I have in my smaller bike so I just kept it rather than trade it in. I take the smaller bike out every couple of months. It is MUCH more fun to ride than the big bike (RGU). The big bike is much more comfortable to ride all day long and has all the extras like cruise control, heated grips, radio,cb radio, lots of storage with the saddle bags and tour pack, etc.
The big bike is no where as quick or as agile as the smaller one...The smaller one blows the cob webs out of my head a lot faster.

I tried the two bike experiment, I had a switchback that was stripped down for solo riding, but wasn't great on any trip over a couple of hours. Added a CVO Road King to the mix and never road the switchback...Now I'm back to a single bike. Too much money tied up trying to keep two bikes when I'd always have a favorite that gets rode daily and a garage queen.

I know of some that have more than one bike because they just like motorcycles like some of us like guns, cars or other things. On a personal note, I used to have 2 bikes. One for myself and one for a friend to ride. When that friend went south on me, so did the bike. Reason I got rid of the bike was because it was a small bike set up for a woman to ride and when I tried to ride it I was told that I looked like a monkey trying to get it on with a football.

I got 2, they are both pretty similar in that they are both Heritage Softails but I use the Springer for local shorter rides usually, and the new Heritage for long days and trips. I love having 2 bikes. It's great when one is in the shop.

I have a 2005 Fatboy and a 2012 Street Glide. Typically I go for the simple living thing and don't like to have a lot of material things, so this is uncharacteristic for me. But I love motorcycles, particularly Harleys and I ride em both, just depends on what my ride is going to be and/or what I'm in the mood for.

I have a Heritage and a Trike. My wife has 2 hip replacements so when she rides with me we take the Trike. She can't swing her leg up over the Heritage anymore. But she can climb on the Trike anyway she wants.

I also take the Trike solo if it's a long trip, but not on poker runs.

Too different machines, but it works for us.

I have 2 Road Kings,02 Firefighter and a 2014 SE. I ride them both. I prefer my old bike in town and save the new one for road trips. I love both bikes and can't imagine getting rid of either.

i've had my honda vtx about 6 years (exactly 6 in august now that i think on it), and got the springer last october. i ride them both pretty indiscriminately. either i run one out of gas or just switch after about a week. i'm liking having both. at this point even if i got rid of one, i'm liking the idea of an adventure bike, so i'd still have two.
