take your two grand and build your motor. weld the crank and install cams and alittle head work and you will have a better engine than a stock 103. alot of people bump their engines to 103 and 107's.
On this forum there is a subsection called "Harley Davidson Tech & Mechanical Forum."
In that is a forum called "Engine Mechanical Topics." You'll find a wealth of knowledge there. Search for specific items, or ask questions. They were a great help when I did my cams. There aren't nearly as many people who frequent it, so don't expect instant answers.
