I say you should try. The company's insurance company might throw some money at you to go away. Hopefully the driver will lose his job at the least.
You may just end up wasting your time of course, but if you got some go for it. Too many times people sit back and do nothing.
Also, this happened to someone else in a cage I knew. An officer happened to be nearby and saw it all. He told the guy he is getting new tires out of the deal, it's required that their insurance cover them. He had an older tow truck without anti-lock breaks.
