I find the lack of accurate maps to be a safety issue. Going around Miami the thing wanted me to get off I95 and make and turn around! It was 100 degrees and not being familiar with Miami I followed the road signs rather than listen to the GPS.
is this a route that you uploaded? or did you just punch in a destination and let the gps route you there?
if you uploaded it, I would suggest that you probably put the waypoint in the wrong spot.
if the 'lack of an accurate map' is a safety issue worthy of a lawsuit, then I guess I should be suing every car mfg that I've ever owned because until recently, I've never had a gps in the car. so I must have been driving around in unsafe pos' all this time.
what's the 'safety issue'? my gps made me do a U-turn? since you didn't follow the instructions, you don't even know if it would have eventually gotten you to your destination, just with an extra turn or two.
