Would think that would be something to keep Harley Owners from buying Big Dogs or an American Ironhorse Chopper. Makes sense !!

Well, they do need to fill insome holes left by the Wide Glide, Deuce and Softail Standard being discontinued for 08, so who knows.

lets not forget the 1984 softail which was supposed to be a flashback to the choppers of the 60's.........................

I think it makes perfect sense. It explains the fact that the softtail standard, deuce and wideglide are gone for 08'. One bike for the same target customer.
Only thing that has me confused is the fact that the factory chopper bikes were supposed to be dropping.
Maybe this new HD chopper will turn things around for that market.

I have been in several dealers that are carrying American Ironhorse. HD making a chopper model similar to AI or Big Dog would make sense.

.....hmmmm, read that Big Dog (mfg here in Wichita) was laying off some workers due to a slow down in that very market!

oh, i dont really disagree.............just from a business stand point it would make sense for HD to claim some more customers

Seeing how a Thunder Mountain is already 90% OEM HD parts, it's not a stretch for the MoCo to push the other 10% is it?
