Traveled back to Detroit area yesterday from Louisville KY, 10 hours of parking lots on I-75N. Left Louisville around 10 AM flew up I71 to Cinci made it through Cinci without a backup, made through Dayton with not much of a big deal, travel time to Dayton was just over 2 hours, figured I was home free, was looking at a 6 ride home, then I hit the wall, took another 8 hours of parking lots to get to Detroit, accident S and N of Findlay, rush hour in Toledo, accident in the construction just inside the MI border, by the time I got home I was completely cooked, there has to be a better way. I have done the side roads all the way but the takes forever and I wanted to get home quicker yesterday, not to be......
Twinned cooled does work well I have to say that, during one of the long stand still had an older Road King share the lane with me, he kept stalling out due to over heating.
I ride to and from Louisville from the Detroit area often, the back roads are nice but they can take 8-10 hrs, where I-75 to I-71 (with no traffic backups) I can get there in about 6 1/2 hrs with a couple of breaks to boot.
