Just let it go, Bud. Genetic selection will fix it.

Ever look closely at the etching on the lower part of your rear view mirrors? ... "Objects in mirror may be dumber than they appear."
I guess I should turn my mirrors so I'm not looking at myself anymore!

...Actually I think it's kindof sad he's only hit 112mph on a Ducati (and would have told him so!).
hehe..my thoughts EXACTLY......thats still 5th gear.....but then he was a definite putz anyway...

Wow. I assumed it was the age of the rider. Yesterday was very nice around here. I took off on the Heritage and went for a very nice cruise at lunch. A buddy of mine that I work with daily went for a ride on his Ducati. This guy is a very nice guy I work with daily. Well manered, English accent, I'm guessing mid to late 30's. You just an all around nice guy. This morning at work he started talking about his ride yesterday. I gather he came upon a couple of "Harley" riders and a third bike. These "Harley riders" he comment with disgust were sticklers for the speed limit! They actually followed the speed limit! Go figure! He clearly was irritated and could not wait to get past them. Given the derogitory comments about doing the speed limit he must have been clearly disgusted with these "other" riders! He commented on how he "could not wait" to get past them guys! He then begain to talk about the rest of his ride. You know, "I hit a new record!" 112 mph on the bike! SHEEEEESH! He knows I'm a Harley rider and I can bet the story he gave me was a bit more subdued as far as attitude than what really happened! You know, he isn't going to talk "bad " about Harleys with me standing in his face.

Either way, I was very surprised to see the totally different riding attitude and style. Especially from such an outstanding Coorperate America Employee. Man, If I ever come upon vehicles going slower than my tastes, I simply wait until the appropriate time and then use the HP and weight advantage to pass.

OH well. Guess I wasn't expecting this from a guy that seemed much more mature than this. Guess it takes all kinds to make the world go around!

Scott

yeah, terrible thing, a guy going fast on a motorcycle. and a non harley motorcycle no less. a terrible thing i tell ya. [:'(]

man, whats up with not wanting to obey the speed limit? i mean, heck if yer breaking the law, your not being a very good "harley ambassador" are yah? and then to have to deal with guys on them japanese ducatis going all fast and stuff.

its enough to make a person jealous, aint it?

yeah, speed limits are great, arent they? nothing like being real real safe.

hahahahahahhahahah aa ha a hahha

Unfortunately, speed is addictive. Even we as Harley riders feel it (if we didn't, nobody would be putting mods on our bikes for more performance!) Actually I think it's kindof sad he's only hit 112mph on a Ducati (and would have told him so!) I've had my Harley (well my Lowrider) over 105mph. Not for very long, I was tryin got catch up to some buddies.
112mph? Feh, I had my Train up at 120mph the other day (testing purposes only), and I was still accelerating hard.

Cheers!

I think there is something wrong with his Ducati.

I had the Ultra up to 110 on Saturday while testing.

So, are we saying that Englishmen over 30 aren't allowed to go fast? I just want to be sure, so that the next time I see one speeding, I'll tell him he can't do that.
