Default Windshield vs Batwing

I presently have a windshield on my 03 Road King Classic, and been thinking of putting on a batwing. The questions are, what's the advantage of either one, and what's a good manufacturer to give my business to ?

Anyone has a picture of an 03 Road King Classic FLHRCI Silver/Black with one on, could you forward it to me, hard to find one probably because of age here on the internet. Thanks

Unless you want the batwing to add stereo capability, add a wind deflector to the back of your bottom triple tree brace, and consider the "fangs" that mount on the outside of your front forks. Those two "fixes" will give a substantial improvement in the air flow around you, without giving up the unobstructed view of the highway you get with a Road King windshield.

Of course, you could do that with a batwing too, and that may be the ultimate answer. I lost interest in the batwing after making those additions, so can't comment.

I don't have either one but just looking at them, a windshield reminds me of the old dressers and Elvis. The fairing looks modern and slick and I'd pick it, way over a windshield.

Im interested in what kind of wind deflector you have on the triple tree brace, is it a harley part?
I have the fangs on my heritage and they do a great job but interested in the deflector also.
Thanks

I was considering a batwing and have no desire for a radio. I found the Reckless fairing was the most reasonable. Saw one and it looked well built.

I have owned both, and prefer the windshield over the batwing. The only advantage to having a batwing is my hands stayed warmer on cold rides. Other than that, no difference.
