I interpreted it as drinking and riding. Nothing more.

That will change things a bit. Just make the learning curve different is all. Should still be able to ride though. I have seen it myself and know that we have a couple ATK bubbas rolling around on here. Hopefully one or three of them will chime in and give some pointers.

Had an accident in November of 2014 and eventually lost my right leg below the knee in August of 2015. 3 revisions and 3 prosthetics later I now walk again normally. I disassembled the bike, a 2008 HD Electra Glide Ultra, after the first accident as the doc told me I would only be down 12 weeks (it was originally a compound fracture). Well after infections, blood clots, 5 months of hospital time, and 1 month in a rehab facility, I just finished putting Henrietta back together last week as a full custom. She's currently at the upholstery shop having a seat custom made. I had a chance to sit on her without a seat and I'm not sure if I will be able to ride with the stock floorboard and brake pedal. I saw another bike with a mini board and a brake peg instead of a pedal and I may have to go that route. When I did sit on her the prosthetic leg felt bulky and difficult to press down on the pedal and it seemed to take a lot of effort to get my leg off the board and on the ground. I am currently looking for someone locally to be my coach and help me ride again but I haven't had much success. I guess if I can just get her to a back road and try I'll see. I'm going today to Ramjet Racing and see what they may have in a mini floorboard and repositioned brake lever with a peg. I will ride her again! I'll keep you all posted!

Oh. BTW...I contacted MSF for help and all I got was blah, blah, blah, liabilities, blah, blah, lawsuits......So much for MSF in Phoenix, AZ!!!

Dang. I could only imagine how tough that pill is to swallow. It is mighty admirable that you still have a great outlook on things. I have had two motorcycle accidents that totalled the bikes but luckily i was able to walk away that day. You and your family are in my prayers.

Sorry to hear, but glad to hear you have a positive plan going forward. Can you shift/brake with a prosthetic? or have hand controls on a trike?

Very sorry to hear about your injury.

I will pray for you.

Please be strong. Do not let this define you.

I hope you can get back on a hog soon.
