Default How do you all attach these?

The double sided sticky tape ain't cutting it. What do you folks use to attach them?

A little more info might help. What seems to be the problem.

I used a hot glue gun
but
i think you are supposed to rub the tape before you try to adhere the trim

I'm not a fan of double sided tape myself. It's the reason why I didn't get the LED rope type stoplight for my bike.

I can't get the double sided tape supplied with the trim to hold. The sticky stuff just pulls off in a ball when I try to pull off the tape.

Double sided tape, 3M werks good and there are better out there. My first thought is you're not wrappin it onto the tank properly...wdikt

I'm not putting anything on the tank. Just adding a chrome trim to the gauges. Problem getting the sticky tape supplied to stick to the thin edge on the face of the gauges.
