Wind protection?
I have a 2006 1200c with a custom triple set measuring 10" center of forks. I have been told its the same as a standard softail. Im thinking of making it look and feel like a 2002 CVO wide glide with the sport fairing and extra windshield on cool minnesota rides. anyone have any experience like this?

I ride a '13 CVO Ultra and of course it has full fairings (upper and lower), fork air baffle (between the forks below the headlamp, fork wind deflectors (fangs) AND hand wind deflectors and I still get wind!
My suggestion would be good leather or insulated jacket, pants and a neck "dickey", with a heated jacket liner, heated gloves and a full-face modular helmet.

If you like your bike the way it sits get heated gear and call it a day. I have all the Gerbings you can get for a bike so along with a full face helmet as long as the roads are clear I ride.
