I finally got the Sundowner seat, rode 55mi to work with it today. It's definitely more comfortable than the crummy stock seat, but it sits me up at least an inch higher. I don't feel pushed forward, but I feel like I'm leaning down on the handlebars now, and I don't like it. I guess I'll give it some time to see if I get used to it, but first impressions leave me a little disappointed.
I got the Mustang Wide Tripper saddle, which advertised to bring the rider down and back. I got it for this reason, because I felt like I was sitting on top of the bike. If you look at the picture in my signature, you'll see how much it brought me down. Now I feel like I'm sitting down in the bike. There is less cushion, and so the seat is harder, but because of the way it's shaped I'm still able to do 2,500 mile trips. I did have to get the Harley seat pad though to take the "edge" off. The seat pad is only 1/4 inch thick and is in the below photo.
For me ,the wait isn,t as bad as the anxiety of thinking UPS or Fedex is going to destroy something before I recieve it.
I recieved a trailer hitch shipped fedex once ,and the box was obliterated and about 2/3 of the hitch was sticking out.I asked the driver WTF,and he could not have cared less, acted like this was S.O.P.I have many stories just like that ,too.
Try cross boarder shipping. just got my new grips after a month and a half wait. Either USPS or Canada post lost them and didn't find them until I made a claim.
I ordered something from California and they shipped it UPS, usually 5 days to Ohio. I tracked to the local Post office which then took 2 more days to deliver it.
I'm still waiting on the amp gauge I bought on E-bay 2 years ago. It was delivered parcel post according to the post office, apparently not to my house. You may have to wait, but usually get the best deals.
