I have had a few like that myself. If I don't shake by the first 20 or 30 miles I go home.

that's very good advice......when you're just not feeling in the riding groove; header home and try another day. You're mind's not in it and that's when riders get hurt or worse..........

Yea if it doesn't feel right. There's a reason. No use tempting fate.

I'm glad to hear your comments. Thought it was just me on those days when the stops and starts are anything but smooth and you feel like a goober on a foreign object. In thinking about it I guess everything we do that requires some form of mechanical skills, golf, tennis or riding a bike, can have good days and bad days.

When I was a long distance runner we called them "junk miles". No matter how far you went you never got a decent pace down or really loosened up. Some guys would just stop and walk rather than continue. Glad to see I'm not the only one out there that's experienced this. Thanks.

I think we all have those days occasionally. Seems like if I head out the next day, it's the complete opposite.....everything is smoother.

I've had that happen once in a while. I've also had the ride where five people try to kill me in the first five miles. On those days, I just cut out early and take the bike home.
