Check out Wally World's eye department. Ask to see the Liberty Sport. I've had a pair for five years, since having cataract surgery, and they are great. They have a foam seal around the inside of the frame. About a year ago, the glue holding the seal started to let loose. I also had to remove some of the seal (on the bottom side by my nose) to allow more air in, to keep them from foggy up on humid days.

I just ordered a new pair today after an updated eye exam. They now have a model with removable / replaceable foam inserts, that are better vented to prevent fogging. The total cost, with trifocal progressive lenses and polycarbonate lens was $238. $58 for the frame, the $180 for the lenses.

I'm going to completely remove the foam seal on my old pair and keep them in my truck for use when driving that.

Edit: What I got were dark, smoked sunglasses. I did not price transitions.

Here you go, cheap like borscht. For the price I've bought a few pairs and they have '30% off' sales about once every month or so too. I always get the bifocals so I can see my gauges. They're so cheap that I've bought various tinted, polarized, nonpolarized, and clear, and yellow for night driving. I actually prefer the tinted non polarized ones as the polarized bifocals seem to filter and enhance my windshield into displaying prismatic rainbows. The non polarized shades don't do that, the windshield appears nice and clear. Anyhow, for under $20 you can't go wrong.

I am very happy with the glasses I got from these folks . They have a wide variety . I got a wrap around lens with progressive bi-focals and transition and it was around 300. My only issue is it took me well over a month to get used to the progressive with a curved lens ( small focal area) my next set will not be progressive . They run many sales offering 25% off your purchase

Those appear to be only "cheaters," for magnifying close vision. Rx glasses are prescription glasses that correct both near and far vision, astigmatism, etc.

Another vote for RX Safety if you like the Wiley X.

The rx safety is what I like to see thank you guys but now for that price is it worth it to spend the extra on transition vantage or transition xtravision?

Been using Walmart vision center for years and have an excellent relationship with the local staff. They told me I could bring in frames from glasses or goggles and most high end makers such as Wiley X (I have a couple pair) can be fitted with prescription lenses.

I spent a tad over $600 for my Wiley-X Jakes. Far sighted, bifocals, transition, lazer cut (no fisheye)and shatter proof. It the best piece of safety equipment you can buy as far as I'm concerned.

Ha, you're right! That'll teach me to slow down when reading the OP's post. I originally thought he asked for 'Reading' glasses not 'Rx Riding' glasses, damn I hate getting old.
