They don't care about the MSF because they don't carry insurance.

Got to admit,I was prepared to learn something when I opened this thread and it went into the toilet real quick for some reason.

Here in MI the course cost was $25, I believe it is subsidized by the state here, we have a group that takes spring warm-up courses every year, this year was the ARC and RLP ($125), the ARC was a bit different where about half of the day was in a class room going over rider awareness and situational awareness, the other half was bike handling, braking, brake & avoid, braking technique, slow maneuvering, cone weaves, offset cone weaves. I found the classroom portion helpful to get the head in the right place, but I found that the RLP course better for bike handling and braking technique.

I paid $100 at a HD dealership.

Only time (3 days) that I have ever went to a dealer and hopefully will be the last.

Good luck Johnnyh14 with the course.

I think it was about $125...MSF in Albuquerque, NM...well worth it. After 10 years of racing and 20+ years of riding overall at the time (1992) I thought I had riding down...but I learned a few things. If Neil Peart can still take drum lessons, any rider can take more rider courses... Good luck with it.

Free...military covered mine through Base Safety Office. Small investment toward added survivability of a federal employee.

By all means, take an ARC! You'll love Ex. 5! Everyone does! Decreasing radius turn. Do it!

Here, it's $150.

Years ago, I took an ARC before I took a BRC! I like to do stuff alphabetically! (Passed both with zero points, btw.)

I had some real fun with the rider coaches in the classroom, too!

Edit~If you look at my avatar, you'll notice I'm smiling whilst riding in a tighter and tighter arc. That's Ex. 5!

See where my eyes are? Do that!
