Hello all, need a little information. I looked at a green and silver 1996 Heritage Nostalgia at a custom shop where it had been traded in on a $52,000 Bourget. The bike is mint and has 8000 miles and was owned buy a collector. The dealership is wanting $12,500. What should I look for when checking out this bike and what are the down falls if any on this type bike. Any and all information would be very much appreciated.
It's an EVO, so it is easily modded. But that also means a smaller ci, and a 5spd tranny. Other than the std mech inspections and making sure it is not chipped up or rusted, not too much else.
Unlessyour area collector and need this bike in your collection, I would shop for a newer model. Evos are fine but they stopped building them in 1999. I believe you could find a newer bike ,same milage for the same money. JMHO
I thought it went without saying all of HD is a massive mark up! But still worth it to me, I love the nostalgias. I suppose they're worth whatever someone will pay for them...
I've seen the FLSTN going for as much as $20k...$12k for 8k miles actually seems pretty reasonable. Seems like they average around $15k from what I've seen.
