M/c riding's a "man's sport" so...leave the baggage at home.

JK, do the MotoTune new engine break-in w/her on board...she'll love it and might thank you...later.

Motor won't know the difference, suspension might need tweaked, probably shouldn't tell the significant other about it though, unless she's part of the 2, lol.

i'd ride it solo for the first 50 miles or so and then change the oil to a good synthetic oil. won't hurt a thing, after all alot of bikes come with it.

When I get new or new used bike I always ride solo until I get use to the feel of new bike . Plus it is mechanical you never know ,things need tightening ,oil leaks .brakes ,tires .I go over everything before I put a rider on the back . Not sure about break in but for safety reasons I would do a couple hundred miles first .

Pretty much what the Softail manual says. Specifically, the manual says to keep RPMs below 3,000 for the first 50 miles and below 3,500 for the first 500. The 1,000 mile service includes an oil and oil filter change just as you say, to get out all the metal particles etc. in the new oil.

Just did my 1,000 mile service last week, so the bike is fully broken in as of now!
