I'm in the market for a new set of gloves. As of now I ride with so cheap leather gloves or a pair of mechanics gloves. I'm looking a something a little or a lot safer that what I have. After looking at photos of wrecks it seems a palm slide is very good to have. Knuckle protection is a plus also. Why are you using for gloves?
Maybe cause I started off on sportbikes and still ride 1 along with my Glide but I prefer Alpinestars. I don't ride with a full on race gauntlet when on my Glide but I still use a shorty style glove that has armor/ Kevlar
I see a lot of guys riding with those Mechanics gloves you can buy @ Autozone or a thin pair of leather gloves and wonder why they wear gloves @ all??

Sport bike background for me too. I wear low DAINESE leather gloves with knuckle protection.
Rich... Didn't you start out the boot thread the same way, with a graphic and misleading photo?
It's not misleading at all. If you go down without proper gear this is what happens. Right above the pic I post after maths of wrecks and gloves. Its 3 different people with different stores.
