Nice photos. I rode the Dragon about 15 years ago. It was fun.

Use some lock tite on the shift lever bolt.

I was in Maggie Valley a few weeks back. We went to Wheels Through Time, It's a Motorcycle museum that has a great collection of bikes. If you go, plan on a whole day to go through the museum. If you love bikes, it's a must.
Plan on doing that next trip in June 2016.

Upgrade your shifter to Heim joints. You'll be happier.
Sounds like a good idea. Don't want to be sitting on the side of the road for sure!!!

I could do that trip every year. Glad you enjoyed it.
I hear ya, I'm thinking of twice a year. Spring/ summer and fall. There's so many roads and soooo much to see. Father in-law rode the parkway from end to end, said its a must do and need several times to see it all.

We were there Monday in a car. Did go to WTT and enjoyed the museum so much we bought a fist full of tix for the raffle bike.

The BRP was beautiful but couldn't really enjoy it, not knowing the road, the speed limit was 45 and you go into the turns blind so we were going slower and pissing off the bikes and locals. Might try to go back sometime on the bike.

Nice pictures. I also loved the BRP. I was able to ride the entire length. You are lucky to be able to do it again next year, or twice! Thanks for sharing.

Back in the late 90's we trailered our Honda ACE to Maggie Valley for our 10th anniversary. It was then that I discovered that while a T-shirt may be adequate at 3,000 feet, it most certainly is NOT at 5,000 feet.

Welcome to the Mountains.

Glad you and your wife enjoyed the area. When I had my cycle, i used to make 2-5 trips up there just to play around. but i'm only a couple hours away from the dragon.

Lived in Colorado for 20 years. Our house was at 6,500', used to ride up to 12,000' - took a ride up to 14,110' one time. THOSE are mountains! ;-)
