Wife and I took our first vacation on our new street glides this week. We went to Maggie Valley and rode the blue ridge parkway, dragon and just cruised around the area. It was a BLAST. I thought the dragon was pretty cool but there are so many roads that are longer and have just as many curves. The parkway was by far the best part of the trip for us. Scenery is awesome. We ars originally from ne pa so it was great to be in the mountains again. Bikes worked great although after we got home and I was washing my bike I found the shift lever was loose. I know that they have a habit of loosening and checked it before we left. Just glad it didn't fail on the trip. Guess I should be checking it more often.
Already planning a return in June, This is a must see for any biker imho.
Great pics, looks like you did some good riding while up there. That area is just amazing especially if you are there on a motorcycle.
I took a trip in September to ride the Cherohala Skyway and was just amazed at the scenery and riding. I haven't been to the blue ridge parkway yet, but that will most likely be my next trip up to that area.
I was in Maggie Valley a few weeks back. We went to Wheels Through Time, It's a Motorcycle museum that has a great collection of bikes. If you go, plan on a whole day to go through the museum. If you love bikes, it's a must.
