Default Finally got my Deuce winterized

Been a project I've been meaning to get to. I had my wife do it for me cause of my condition, she did great and even had a few extra good ideas. So she cleaned the bike for me, gave her a good rub down with some wax, got her all niceand shinny. I had her take the battery out, we puta a sandwich baggy with mothballs just cracked open in the battery box. Put the seat back on, put my cloth harley cover on and we slid another opened baggy of mothballs under the bike, under the cover. We plugged the pipes with steel wool to keep the critters out. Got marine grade stabilizer in it, battery tender hooked to batt on bench.time to lock the shed up and say goodnight to her.

It's good to see you got some help with that. I'm still waiting to do that because I'm sure there's still some riding days ahead.

Thats why I don't live up north. I live in Texas so I don't have to winterize

I simply ride all winter in N.W. Illinois. No need to winterize. However they are in a heated garage reay to go.

I did just buy her a sporty. Thing is my days of riding are over. I have brain cancer, and the tumor they can't remove has caused my left side to be psralized.i had just bought the Deuce when I found out about the cancer andtutors. I've rode it once, probably 12 miles, it's to big for her so had to get her something for her to ride and enjoy

Glad I don't have to do that. I don't pile a ton of miles on in the winter but when it hits upper 40's and 50's I'll fire them up and take a spin. They stay in a heated garage so there pretty much all set.

I follow the same winterizing ritual, but I leave the battery in the bike and connect a tender to a pigtail. I'm hoping to get in a few more rides before I winterize.
