IMO, Biketoberfest is better than Bike Week. You can count on better weather, its a lot less crowded, but you still get most of the same vendors & acts as Bike Week. DAC @ the Iron Horse is a time honored staple, but The Razorbacks @ The Bank & Blues are regulars during both events and are "must sees" too. BTW, nice lookin' scoots. Glad you had a good time and a safe trip. Come back soon!
Yeah, besides Main Street, nothing was really overly crowded either time I've been. It's great!
I'll tell you, the weather was perfect the entire time. How often can you make a trip like that, hang out for 4 days, and the return trip and get NO rain whatsoever? There wasn't even a chance of rain anyplace . . . we didn't dodge anything. It was just perfect. And, I thank you and all of the other locals for tolerating us tourist! LOL!!
We did catch The Razorbacks on Friday night at The Bank & Blues! AWEEESOME show!

Might try to run the gauntlet this March but like others have said in March it's either a weather feast or famine in Daytona.
It was definitely nice! The best part? The cost to us was ZERO! The OL accrues a ton of points throughout the year (I think last year, it was 390 rooms booked for the year. We're both road warriors), so we use them for our personal escapades. But, we were both REALLY surprised when we saw just how nice that hotel was! And, we made special use of the Jacuzzi. Bet they didn't have one of THOSE at the campground! LMFAO!!
Hey, but don't feel bad . . . don't you usually live it up pretty swell out at the guest lodging in Rapid City while I'm getting rained on at the Buffalo Chip?

I don't know . . . there were LOTS of young folks there! And, no condo - just a regular hotel on the beach!!

Yeah, I feel you. I grew up on the coast, and then spent a LOT of my Marine Corps years near beaches, so I never really missed them until I lived inland for a while. It's definitely nice to get back to the coast sometimes!

Didn't get it in before the edit . . . but, I agree with you. LOL.
I rode over Thursday after work. I live in Lakeland, Fl. About 3 hours away going the back way. Nice ride over, nice ride back on Sunday. Beautiful weather. Also got to spend some time with 2 guys I was stationed with at Lejeune, 1 guy I hadn't seen since 1989. All in all, a great trip. I will also try and make it back over during Bike Week. It is more crowded on the weekends, but we try to go during the week when the crowds thin out. Hotel rooms are cheaper per night during the week, as well. Glad you had a nice trip!
We trailered from Mass Left on Friday the 9th. Got to the beach early Saturday afternoon.
Fantastic weather all week. Hit all the usual spots, saw lots of great bikes, bands, babes. Love hanging out at Main street Station (back bar) The staff there work there asses off. We actually took the time to compliment the bar backs and threw them a little cash to show our appreciation for the cold beers and plentiful stock of adult beverages. Had a blast it was my 6th. trip down and one of the best to date. Always good to extend the summer for another week. Will be back for a 7th. no doubt. Oh and whats up with the Cabbage Patch? More vendors and goings on across the Street that at the Patch.
