If you were interested, you could see if they will put your bike on consignment. Not knowing how bad you need/want to sell.

I'm sure that it would be against any dealers policy to allow the handing out of flyers but a small "FOR SALE" sign on the bike with your phone or email might not even be noticed by anyone other than a potential buyer.

Yes I've asked about consignment sale but they dont provide that service. All they were able to help with was to help set up potential buyer with financing if necessary. Next nearest dealership doesnt do consignment either but offered to buy it outright from me at the price of $17,500 about 3 months ago. Thought it was too low.

With craigslist, you'll get more exposure than at a dealer, plus you won't be undercutting anybody's business.

Think about what the rent is on one of those places?

Lol! Put the crack pipe down. Maybe I went a bit far with the flyer idea!

Well since you've asked about consignment and even though they don't do that, they offered to help buyer with financing...I think it would be a natural (and not out of line) question to ask if you can try to sell it on their lot.

They want to try to benefit off your sale, why not try to see if they'll give a little too.

At the time it hadn't crossed my mind. I have purchased 3 motorcycles from this dealership not including about 10k in accessories for the 3 over the course of 10 years. So I don't think a for sale sign on my bike during a hangout visit was out of line. The flyer idea as stated before, I can agree is a bit much.

If I were the dealer, I'd allow it so long at the for sale sign was already attached and not something that needed to be hung on after. In the second scenario I'd tell you to hit the bricks.

I think you're good with just a "for sale" sign.
