Is it inappropriate and or not allowed to park bike and hang out at dealership on a weekend with for sale sign and flyers. Reason I ask is that Ive posted my bike for sale on craigslist as well as here on the forums with little to no interest. As another member implied, it might not be the right time of the year. But, I think seeing it in person would spark interest much more than just another bike for sale on craigslist. Also, with potential buyers going to dealership, chances are that I could find one for mine. Just wondering if anyone has done this.
I know my home dealership and just knowing the folks in all the depts fairly well I dont think they would tolerate a private sales pitch on their property. Basically...thats what it is...a private sales pitch.
And they know they wont be making any money off you!
But all they can do is tell you to get lost and do it somewhere else.
Maybe ask the manager of the store what he thinks?
what do you do for a living? Lets say you have a hot dog stand, and you sell nice fresh, tasty dogs. Some stranger comes right next to your stand opens up a box and starts selling his left over dogs, at a lesser price. What will you do?
Be a little more low key, maybe a small 1inx3in for sale sign on the bike somewhere,
with your phone number, lots of folks put for sale signs on their vehicles
Instead of handing out flyers, mingle with the crowd, strike up some conversations,
and slip in that your awesome bike is for sale right now.
