A large organization of any kind is going to have its cadre of resident nitwits who get all carried away with themselves and their borrowed identities. We have em too, quite frankly, but they don't threaten people. Anyhow, I expect its very safe to assume that the people actually in charge of a large Motorcycle Club have bigger fish to fry than simply to administer to the wounded emotions of the few mental weaklings their organization will have inadvertently taken on. I further expect the MC "bigboys" wouldn't take kindly to one of their low order, self appointed patch gestapo drawing shitty attention to their entire organization by picking on a little bunch of social riders.
I found that was long as I am a nice enough guy to everyone I meet I rarely have any issues. I have had people, wearing a patch, ask me questions, but that's to be expected. I answer honestly and to the best of my ability. It almost seems as though they know my brotherhood doesn't conflict in the least with theirs, and so far I have had no issues.

Yep Bro, true enough. Regardless of what you wear, if you don't look for trouble chances are pretty good you won't find it.

Its an interesting coincidence how in a vaguely similar way we share a common image issue with some MC's. Conspiracy theorists assign all sorts of "World domination through secret handshake" attributes to the Craft, and I'll bet there are times when the MC's are quite amazed to read of their alleged activities too. Oh well, sometimes even BS is better than not being noticed at all.

Must not be a serious riding group if you have a 2009 bike with roughly 5300 miles on it.

Simple as that, believe it or not.
True that, over a 25 year period I watched a group of about 50 individuals go from being the local HOG group to splitting up into 3 little new clubs and then on to the mixing matching and swapping members with at least 3 other new clubs every 3 or 4 years, last count I believe 9 clubs sprang out of that group.

Was a total circus but great entertainment watching this wanna be dance and like you said one of the later ones was where all the oddball's and ******** landed eventually. Thankfully not many of those around anymore, stupid either killed them or got the gray bar motel treatment for them.

Cool story bro....

If you're gonna make up bullshit stories like that, at least try to make them slightly believable.

I used to be a member of a club that wore a 4 piece patch, part of which was an MC cube. I've ridden all over this continent, literally, wearing the colors of that club. There were a few times I had members of major 1% clubs take offense to me traveling thru "their" turf. One of those times wasn't even in the US, it was in Red Deer, Alberta. Each time it came up I explained it the same way. I paid full price for the eagle, globe & anchor patch and the corresponding club patch. I was prepared to die for it when I got it and I was prepared to die that day protecting my right wear it, no matter who took offense to it.

It took the Hells Angel in Red Deer a long minute to decide what he wanted to do. In the end he offered me his hand and invited me back to the club house; an offer I didn't take him up on. His name was "Bowie" as I remember.

I no longer belong to the club because they voted on a national level to remove the MC patch from the colors. This is something a Marine doesn't do; ask for permission as to what they can or can not safely wear.

There are some men on this forum who state plainly they won't ask for permission or a "by your leave" from anyone; I am one of those men. I won't wax on about how tough I am or how many conflicts I've been in. None of that matters in an internet forum. I've lived longer than I should have. I've survived world politics 101 in overseas lands in the service of my country and cancer twice. I've come too far to be impressed or intimidated by someone's else's unwritten rules.

This may well be my undoing one day, but it will not come without a cost.

You were the inspiration for the movie 'Clueless', right? Seems too you were the inspiration for 'Dumb and Dumber'.

You've no idea of what club life is about, other than some crap you've read somewhere, and now consider yourself swooft enough to tell others what it's all about. Morons like you are a dime-a-dozen and are the reason stupidity and ignorance just keep spreading.

I'm not, and never have been, a part of the MC culture (1% or otherwise) and perhaps it's one of those 'if you have to ask you'll never understand' sort of things, but if being a part of a MC effectively limits who one can ride and associate with and places huge responsibilities for participation and all that, why would a rider have so much of a desire to subject himself to that? It seems like it's like becoming a monk, but with more booze and women!

Unless there's something to be gained by being a part of this or that MC, what is the motivation? Why would one want to be a patch holder in MC 'A' over MC 'B'? And especially if this or that club already has a reputation for violence or illegal activities, why would one seek them out and go through such a process to be a member? What benefit, other than the oft-spoken 'brotherhood', is there to being a member of an MC that will for all intents and purposes be your new family?

Like I said, I'm not in that circle and I only ask because I don't know.
